Remembering Geoff Capes 1949-2024

It comes with a heavy heart to announce the loss of a giant in strength sports, our great friend in Ultimate Strongman, Geoff Capes.

Geoff has worked with Ultimate Strongman many times in several roles as a presenter, commentator, referee, and VIP legend to many adoring fans.

Geoffrey Lewis Capes (23 August 1949 – 23 October 2024) was a British shot putter, Strongman, and Highland Games competitor. He is widely regarded as one of the greatest and most versatile strength athletes of all time. In particular, he won World Strongest Man in 1983 and 1985 to show he was truly one of the greatest of all time.
